The human body acts as the epicenter of experience. We live each moment within the shelter of our bodies, filtering our perceptions, feelings, and lived experiences through the layers of our own physicality in an effort to make meaning from our environment. In this way, our unique peculiarities help to shape our identities and in turn our identities help to shape our understanding.

In (Em)Bodied, eight Centre County artists are tasked with contemplating the role of the body within the every day. Translating this central theme through a variety of artistic media, we as viewers are asked to investigate our own existential purpose within the larger scope of our worlds.
