A Special Poetry, Performace & Music event will be held Sunday, February 17, 3–5pm
We have decided to do a second STAND show, as artists continue to address the many issues coming to the fore in our society today. Exploration, expression and discussion are needed on so many topics: education, justice,Â climate, the environment, foreign relations, sexism, racism and many more. All points of view are welcome.
While we welcome all kinds of expression, our space is limited so each artist is welcome to bring one piece with a maximum size of 24″x36″ for 2D and less than 50lbs. for 3D. If you have an odd sized piece or installation, please contact us to discuss placement.
Entry Process & Fee
This exhibition is open to all and is not juried. The entry form must be received in the office by 12pm, Wednesday, January 23, 2019.
Fees are: $20 – STUDENT (college/high school);
Fees are: $30 – MEMBER;
Fees are: $40 – NON-MEMBER

Poetry, Performance & Music
The exhibition will include a special poetry, performance and music event on Sunday afternoon, February 17th, from 3–5pm. Michele Katz, guitarist and vocalist will perform some classical folk tunes along with poetry readings provided by the State College Poetry Workshop.
Show Dates, Hours, Location
Artists Take A Stand 2 will open at the Art Alliance Gallery Downtown on Friday, February 1, and run through Sunday, February 24. Art Alliance Downtown Gallery hours are Thursdays–Saturdays, 12–6pm, Sundays, 12–4pm.
The opening reception will be held the evening of Friday, February 1, from 5–8pm. We are asking artists to contribute food or wine to the reception (please see entry form). Artists Carol Cillo and Steve Getz will comment on individual pieces and facilitate additional conversation among the guests regarding the art. Their talk will begin at 6pm.
Sales & Conditions
Works may be for sale. The Art Alliance will charge a commission of 20% of the selling price of work sold at the show. The Art Alliance is not responsible for lost or damaged artwork. Purchased pieces must remain in the gallery until the end of the show, February 24.
Receiving & Retrieving Work
Artwork must be delivered to the Art Alliance Gallery Downtown at 123 S. Fraser Street, State College, PA, on Sunday, January 27 between 4–6pm. Please attach a completed label to your work.
Artwork must be retrieved on Sunday, February 24 from 4–6pm. The Art Alliance Gallery Downtown has no additional storage space for artwork, please honor the pickup date.

After all entries have been received, you will receive an email with a link for you to sign up for a time slot to sit with the exhibit.
