My work uses juxtaposition, composition and color, to examine the intersection and interplay of my interior, private world, associations and experiences with that of the external, public world. I find that silkscreen, as a printmaking process, is the perfect medium for me to explore ideas about repetition, automation, and industrialization versus individuality, processes of the hand, and creativity, as printmaking itself so often represents the advent of former, whereas I, as an artist, am more interested in the latter. I work to merge the seemingly two competing forms of expression into a new way of looking at both.
